President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded honorary titles, orders, and medals to the national team members, enabling them to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. The country’s national team will be playing in the World Cup for the first time in history.
The title of “Pride of Uzbekistan” was awarded to head coach Timur Kapadze and the football players. The Order of Selfless Merit was received by First Vice-President of the Football Association Ravshan Irmatov. The Order of Friendship was awarded to members of the coaching staff, as well as to the head of the scientific, educational, and methodological department of the Football Association and a specialist in working with fans from the national team department.
In addition, other national team employees received various awards.
