Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the majority shareholder of Paris Saint-Germain, has signed an investment agreement and strategic partnership with one of the best basketball players in history Kevin Durant and a leading investor in sports and entertainment.
The American through its boardroom media and investment company, based with its long-time business partner Rich Kleimanacquires a direct minority share in the club.
By the time of August 2024, Durant had already established contact with PSG Through Arctos Partners, the club’s minority shareholder. Earlier this week, QSI and BoardRom Sports Holdings, Kevin’s personal investment company, owning shares in several major sports teams and leagues, signed an agreement on the purchase of promotions and strategic partnership, officially issuing direct entry to Durant as a minority shareholder of the current championship winners.
Under this partnership, the parties cooperate on a wide range of business, investment and content production initiatives. Durant will also support the club’s diversification and growth strategy at the sporting and commercial levels, including the joint development of merchandise and original media content, the development of the club’s strategy in USA and other international markets, support PSG For the communities (the club club and the Assembly department), and providing their expert knowledge on Paris Saint-Germain’s multi-sport strategy, including in relation to future basketball projects.
