Brazilian head coach Carlo Ancelotti was sentenced to one year in prison for tax evasion. According to the source, he is also required to pay a fine of 386,000 euros. The prosecutor’s office accused the former Real Madrid coach of tax evasion amounting to approximately 1 million euros during his first stay in Spain from 2013 to 2015. The court found the coach guilty of tax evasion in 2014, and in that case, the Italian was vindicated. It is reported that he initially committed a non-violent crime, so the sentence will be conditional.
Since May 2025, Ancelotti has been in charge of the Brazilian national team, with whom he managed to reach the final stages of the 2026 World Cup.
