Atletico Madrid has agreed with Botafoi on the transfer of 24-year-old Argentinian striker Thiago Almada for €40 million. The Spanish press reports that the negotiations with the Brazilian club are nearing completion, and the transfer will be officially announced in the near future. Almada played 10 matches for the Argentinian national team, scoring four goals. From January to May of this year, Thiago played in France for Lyon on loan, recording 20 matches, two goals, and five assists.
