Manchester United will exercise one-year contract extension option (until June 2026) with defender Harry Maguire. Head coach of the Mancunians Ruben Amorim spoke out on this subject.
We are using the possibility of extending the contract, we really need Harry. We are counting on him to be a leader, which we lack on the field, but he needs to improve his leadership skills.
Remember that Maguire left Leicester for Manchester United in August 2019. He played 222 matches with the Mancunians. This season, the 31-year-old central defender has played 16 matches in all competitions, during which he scored one goal and received 4 yellow cards. The Transfermarkt portal values the Englishman at 15 million euros.
It was previously reported that Manchester United were keeping tabs on the ‘new Bruno Fernandes’.
