Is the Saudi League ready and does it currently have enough mechanisms to invite a player like Vinicius Junior? We have clubs of different levels, with different levels of organization, like in all world championships. There are teams capable of attracting such performers, and there are those who still have a long way to go in their development.
If we assess what we have today, our clubs have everything they need to attract, develop and nurture such talent. Let’s wait and see what happens with Vinicius.
Are we ready to compete with the 5 best European championships? I would be careful about the word “compete”. We are not here to compete, we want to cooperate within the football ecosystem, to complement it. But now we are focusing more on the domestic market. We believe our loyal fans deserve the strongest league.
Obviously, we do not work in isolation and all of this affects the football community. We intend to contribute to the improvement of football. This is how we see it.
