The footballer received a red card in the 54th minute of the last match of the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid (5:2).
The RFEF Disciplinary Code states that suspensions received during the Spanish Super Cup extend to the team’s next matches in domestic competitions. This measure was created in order to prevent football players from escaping sanctions if they no longer participate in the tournament.
