Sporting President Frederico Varandas stated that the Portuguese club is willing to release Victor Diekeresh for less than €100 million, the amount of the transfer fee in the forward contract.
We agreed that “sporting” would not require compensation for Diekeresh this summer. For one reason: he turned 27. Not a single 27-year-old player leaves Portugal for €90 or €100 million.
