Former Arsenal midfielder Tomasz Rosicki is one of the main contenders for the position of sporting director of the London club.
Rosicky, Sparta’s sporting director since 2018, is in regular contact with Arsenal in the search for a replacement. Ed Gaspardwho left the club in November to work in the owners’ club system at Nottingham Forest.
Negotiations are underway and Rosicky seems ready to take on a new challenge.
It is reported that if Rosicky is chosen, his nomination will likely be delayed until the end of the season. Tomas would prefer to finish the season with Sparta to help them defend their Czech title.
It is also reported that among the candidates for the position are considered Luis Camposwhose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer, and sporting director of Brentford Phil Gilles.
However, sources claim Arsenal would prefer to appoint someone with a connection to the club.
