Former Liverpool and Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez could lead the Italian team.
According to a source, the Italian Football Federation, through intermediaries, suggested an option to appoint a Spanish specialist was proposed.
Benitz’s last job was Celta, which he left in 2024.
