Baltika midfielder Alexander Osipov told what helped him break into professional football.
Did I stand out from others when I was a child? I can’t say that, because there were guys who stood out a lot more. I was always playing in defense, and there were strikers who hit four or five and scored, and you thought it was just Maradona. I have always stood out for my discipline and my martial arts. Children of this age don’t like to go to the joint, they take their legs off. I was not one of those people, I walked all the way with my legs and arms. That was my advantage. Some get speed, some get hit, some get technique, my main talent is I have no talent. I tried to excel purely through my ability to work.
