We broke up after a fantastic season, when it was time to move on. Different things happened, but, indeed, due to the increase in taxes from 15 to 22% and changes in the ruble exchange rate, and the contract indicated that payments are made at the average exchange rate, I agreed to receive a salary at a fixed rate. This means that next season my salary will be lower than in the past, when we won the Russian Cup. This shows that my initial motives CSKA were not financial. I said I don’t see the problem in reconsidering the contract and reducing the salary by ten percent.
It’s a fact, but… I entered the last year of my contract, in a young team, and earlier we talked about a long-term project. The long-term project and the contract of only 12 months are not the same. Furthermore, there was a clause in the contract where it was not me who insisted, but CSKAthat if someone pays a certain amount, I can leave.
I wanted to create a championship CSKAThe fantasy base has already been formed, and I believe that a club of this stature should aim for the highest goals. It cannot be less than the maximum. The legendary coach of the “Army” Valery Gazaev often spoke about this, and I completely agree with his words, because it’s the only way for a club with such history, such significance, and an army of fans. Everything really happened quickly after the Cup final, and that happens in football. The situation reminded me a little of the incident when I left the fan base for videoton; the reasons were very similar.
