Lokomotiv Moscow Board Chairman Yuri Nagorny spoke about the possible tightening of the limit on foreign players RPL:
There is an opinion that the limit leads to a decrease in the number of Russian players and an increase in market value. I think the limit should be tightened. Before the World Cup, the 6+5 limit was in place—in my opinion, this is optimal.
Currently, in RPL You cannot include more than 13 foreigners in the club’s application, and no more than 8 can be on the pitch at a time. In the future, Legionnaires’ limits may limit the number of foreign players on the field to five.
