By decision of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the Georgian national team will hold its first home match of the 2026/27 Nations League season with empty stands. At the meeting of the European Football Association (UEFA) Committee for Control, Ethics, and Discipline, held in Nyon on April 9, the incidents that occurred during and after the match between Georgia and Armenia on March 23 were discussed. SolutionUEFAThe Georgian Football Federation was also fined €40,000 for allowing fans onto the pitch, using laser lights and pyrotechnics, and blocking exits.
The decision also provides for a two-year trial period. If such violations are repeated within two years, the national team will hold another match without spectators.
