Lokomotiv head coach Mikhail Galaktionov spoke on the topic of strengthening the team during the winter transfer window.
Any coach, and I am no exception, wants to have quality players at his disposal. It will probably not be entirely accurate to say which specific positions need to be strengthened, because today there are guys who compete, they are very disciplined, they work very well and try to achieve results. Therefore, as for the plans, it is difficult to talk about anything. Because, I think, and the leaders have already indicated this, today we are limited in resources and must live within our means.
I repeat, today we must understand well. If a footballer is foreign, then he must be stronger than ours. And the price-quality ratio should be acceptable in our current realities of Russian football.
The composition and selection of players allows you to compete. It is clear that we want to strengthen certain positions. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll play with the clip we have. We’ll be disciplined and well prepared, I’m sure. And there’s already a separate match in which you’ll have to win.
The last match in Krasnodar showed that we reacted correctly to this unsuccessful period that we’ve been through.
