Former Sevilla, Leicester, Villarreal, and Levante midfielder Vicente Iborr couldn’t hold back the tears during a farewell press conference. The hardest moment of my career and life is, of course, the loss of our first daughter, Alma. You may not be aware, but her ashes are on the pitch at Valencia’s Syudad Stadium. Imagine the value to me of every minute, every moment, and every match played there. Alma passed away on December 8, 2011, after a premature birth.
During his career, Iborr won the Europa League four times (three with Sevilla, one with Villarreal) and won the conferences with Olympiacos.
