41-year-old Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo ended his career.
Today I end one of the most important chapters of my life: my football career. They were incredible years, full of struggles and accomplishments, but most importantly, years in which I saw God’s purpose fulfilled with every step I took. Everything I have experienced has been directed by His hand, every moment, and I am eternally grateful for the privilege of doing what I love.
Melo’s last club was Fluminense, with whom he won the Copa Libertadores in 2023. In this tournament he also won twice with Palmeiras.
Felipe is known for his performances for Almeria, Fiorentina, Juventus, Inter, Galatasaray and other teams. The midfielder also has 22 appearances and 2 goals for the Brazilian national team.
