Head coach PSG Luis Enrique commented on his team’s victory in the match against Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1 (2:1).
First of all, I would like to congratulate Saint-Etienne. I really liked the way they started the match without any fear, the way they controlled the ball and pressed high.
For our part, we were a little lost in the opening. I didn’t like the start of the game at all. Then we started creating chances and the goals we scored lifted our morale.
You (journalists) generally favor those who score, but I give credit to everyone. The team’s task is to play to the strengths of its best players. We should have won with a higher score, but we weren’t efficient enough. We need to be confident – I’m not saying anything new.
