Real Madrid have yet to reach an agreement with Benfica regarding the transfer of defender Alvaro Carreras.However, the footballer remains close to a move to the Madrid club.
The 22-year-old has long agreed terms on a personal contract with Real Madrid and dreams of returning to La Liga.
Carreras hoped the deal would be finalized before the start of the club’s World Cup and was disappointed that the move had not yet taken place.
Now, the defender is “counting the days” to a possible move to the Madrid club.
