A severe snowstorm has been raging in Norwegian Budyo since last night. By 11:00 a.m., a layer of snow had reached 7 centimeters, and the temperature had dropped below zero.
The polar wind is blowing from the northeast at speeds of 16 to 27 kilometers per hour. It is expected to increase, reaching a maximum speed of 31 kilometers per hour around 4:00 p.m., nearly three hours before the start of the first match of the quarterfinals of the Europa League final between Budyo-Glimt and Lazio. At 10:30 a.m., a meeting of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) took place, attended by clubs and local authorities. Despite the ongoing snowfall, it was confirmed that the game would take place, taking into account the weather forecast, at 2:00 p.m., when the snowfall is expected to end. Information between delegates and clubs will be carried out during the meeting. The artificial turf is completely covered in snow. In the afternoon, the snow pipes will be in operation, providing quick snow removal.
