Barcelona’s management has decided not to request an additional invitation to the 2025 Club Championship, even if they win the Champions League this season.
Although the Catalan club is interested in the financial incentives that come with participating in the tournament, the club respects the competition’s regulations and will not push for changes.
It should be noted that Barcelona has developed a good relationship with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who supports the idea of creating a Super League. At the same time, the club’s management understands that the composition of the World Cup participants is determined solely by sporting results. This summer, Barcelona will hold a tour of Asia, during which they plan to hold friendly matches with South Korean and Japanese clubs. This tour is expected to generate approximately €25 million for the club.
