The first round tie of the German Cup for the 2025/26 season has taken place.
The matches will take place from August 15th to 18th, one week before the start of the Bundesliga season. Meanwhile, Bayern and Stuttgart, who will be competing for the country’s top flight, will not hold their matches until August 26th and 27th.
The German Cup final will take place at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on May 23rd, 2026.
The German champion, Bayern, will face the third division club Vyen Wiesbaden in the first round. Bayer Leverkusen will face the regional Galligas team Sonnenhof Grosaspakh, and Borussia Dortmund will face Essen from the third division.
