Benfica defeated Bayern Munich in the third round of the Club World Cup group stage (1-0).
Play was suspended at the end of the first half after Benfica striker Dzhanluka Prestianni felt unwell. The 19-year-old Argentinian fell to the field, covering his head with his hands. The medical team provided assistance to the player: a cold compress was applied to his neck, the player regained consciousness and was able to continue the match. However, in the 55th minute, Prestianni was substituted for Orkun Kokchu. The match took place in Charlotte, with daytime temperatures approaching 40 degrees.
