Real Sociedad released a statement claiming that the team’s players were insulted by Valencia fans during a Spanish league match.
Real Sociedad strongly condemns the racist and other insults that several Valencia supporters inflicted on some of our players from one of the stands at the Mestalla.
We are clear that these elements do not represent the greatness of the club, just as there is no place in football or sport for disrespectful, abusive and hateful people.
The club will continue to condemn this attitude and hopes that situations like yesterday will not happen again. Let’s all work together to create a better society.
