Real Madrid has announced the transfer of left-back Alvaro Carreras from Lisbon’s Benfica. The 22-year-old’s contract is for six years, ending June 30, 2031. Carreras is a Real Madrid alumnus. He played for the club’s youth teams, but in 2020, he joined Manchester United. Last summer, Portuguese side Benfica bought the Spanish defender from Manchester United for €6 million.
According to unofficial reports, Real will pay €50 million for Carreras.
