Lyon announced that it would immediately appeal the decision of the organization responsible for monitoring and supervising the accounts of professional football clubs in France (DNCG) regarding the club’s transfer to Ligue 2.
According to the club’s statement, over the past few months, it has worked closely with DNCG, fulfilling all the requirements for the joint capital investment, which exceeded the requested amounts. It is worth noting that thanks to shareholder contributions and the sale of Crystal Palace (Lyon owner John Textor also held a stake in the English team), the club’s cash position has significantly improved, and it has more than enough resources for the 2025/26 season.
