After the unsuccessful season (2022/23), I had an offer, and it might be worth trying something new. But I didn’t want to leave Liverpool. It wasn’t related to the job of the team’s manager—I couldn’t just leave the club and the people I worked with. We just brought in new players: Endo, Gravenberh, Soboslav, Macallister. I wanted to fix the situation with them and the existing ones, and that was very important to me. We coped, but the decision to leave Liverpool was still gradually maturing.
