Kazan Sokol lost to Wings of the Soviets in the 13th round of the Second League B (2:3). The match took place at the Labor Reserves Stadium in Kazan.
The match was the last for a team from Tatarstan. Sokol’s sporting director, Ilyas Minvaliev, informed a source that the club would cease to exist after a meeting with Samara due to a lack of funding. During the final match, Kazan’s football players took to the field in mourning uniforms. A memorial dinner with traditional dishes—kutya, pea porridge, and jelly—was held for the fans. Source link
