Head coach of the Russian national team and Dynamo Moscow Valery Karpin said he would not give preference to the club’s Russian players simply because of their passports.
I’ve always said this, and I repeat myself: if our Russian players win the competition against the Argentines, the Brazilians, or whoever else, then the team will be stronger. If they play simply because the Russians should be playing, they won’t be able to progress.
Karpin was officially appointed Dynamo coach on June 13. The coaching staff of a team specialist has already become known.
