Shana played 383 professional matches as a player, including 236 in the Premier League. During the 2016/17 season, Sanay played RPL for Orenburg, playing 17 matches. After his football career ended, he worked as an assistant head coach at Paris NN and Yenisei. During the 2023/24 season, he headed the sports department of the Krasnoyarsk Club.
