Former chairman of the Chernomorets Supervisory Board, Russian businessman Sergey Shishkarev spoke of his willingness to invest in a joint project with the Ministry of Defense for the construction of sports facilities, including a football stadium for 18,000 spectators.
The Novorossiysk Club was not granted a “Russian Football League -1” license for a performance in the Russian Premier League due to the inconsistency of the “central” stadium with the league’s requirements. Earlier, on June 6, Shishkarev announced that his structures would no longer participate in financing a football club.Therefore, the main question arises: “And where to play and how?” I’ve prepared a few additional sites. He was forced to buy the property that belonged to me 15 years ago, on the embankment, 5 hectares of land. As you can see, next to us, there are about two additional hectares needed to accommodate the stadium, which has about 40 owners. You can rebuild five hectares, but it’s impossible to build. There are other restrictions there. Today, we are holding discussions with the Ministry of Defense about the site, and I hope we will reach an advanced agreement. This is the area between Vidov and Tobolskaya streets. It’s 150 hectares belonging to the department, and not all of it now. We have agreed withCentral Sports Club of Armenia Master 29 hectares of this territory. A new stadium for 18,000 spectators will be obtained, a new multifunctional hall for 3,000 people to host Black Morochka handball matches, soccer fields, and new infrastructure, including a necessary hotel.

Now, as a result, the project is being studied by both parties. We are close to the fact that there will be a report from two deputies of the Minister of Defense on this site. In the near future, within a month or two, we will receive a real decision, on the basis of which we will begin to act. We have not yet made a joint estimate; we have considered the stadium and the base separately. But it could cost at least $20 billion.
