Communications Director CSKA Kirill Braido responded to reports that “Army” head coach Marco Nikolich has agreed a contract with AEK Athens.
Dear fans, we see messages in Media And we understand your feelings. We will not respond with meaningless statements like “the coach has a valid contract.” In the near future, the Club and Marco will issue an official statement to stop the emergence of further gossip and speculation, if possible. We understand that in the absence of information, different versions are being put forward, particularly regarding both the financial component of the problem and the supposed internal conflicts. Therefore, even before any official releases regarding Marco’s future, we believe it is necessary to put this matter to rest: Marco has excellent relations with all of the club’s senior management, and yesterday and the day before, Marco held conversations with each of them. There was no doubt about any ultimatum, and it never happened. Now, the club and the head coach are preparing a joint statement, and we ask you to respect both the expectations themselves and the coach’s decision directly.
