During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (PMEF), the Secretary General of the Russian Football Association (RFU), Maxim Mitrofanov, commented on the closure of the Khimki Football Club. In addition, there is the succession of new clubs emerging in the Moscow region, including those with a different name. For example, Nizhny Novgorod had nothing to do with Volga, but, given that it played at the same stadium, part of the cross-administration, Intermediate Football Federation FIFA
It decided to consider the club as a successor and ordered Volga’s debts to be settled, otherwise its license would have been revoked. The same consequences can be expected for any other club close to Moscow, and this is bad, because the new club did nothing, that is, Khimki not only did itself wrong.
