Barcelona are waiting for Daniel Olmo And Paul Victor will be officially registered until January 31 and will be able to continue playing without problems in all tournaments after the winter transfer window closes.
If Olmo and Victor are not registered by La Liga on Friday, Barça reserves the right to appeal to the General Court.
The club is ready to initiate a process that should allow Olmo and Pau Victor to continue competing, based on arguments about the unequal conditions created by the current rules.
The current regulations set December 31 as the deadline to clear the registrations of players affected by the lack of space on the clubs’ payroll.
In this case, Barcelona will argue for the need to change the rules so that the deadline corresponds to the last day of the winter transfer window (February 2, 2025), and for similar changes to apply in subsequent years.
If Olmo and Pau Victor wish to exercise the option to terminate their contracts, they will be able to do so 24 hours before the winter transfer window closes. However, both players intend to continue playing for Barcelona.
