West Ham have officially announced the permanent transfer of Jean-Clara Todibo to the club, starting July 1st. Previously, the defender had proposed to the Londoners for his loan rights, with an obligation to buy him out for €42 million. Under the terms of the deal, Barcelona will receive 20% of the transfer fee—approximately €8.5 million.
Earlier, Todibo moved to Catalan club Toulouse in 2019 for a symbolic fee of €1 million, despite his expired contract in order to maintain good relations with the French club.
Thus, Barça loses the rights to Todibo, but overall, they will gain approximately €17 million from the defender’s transfers.
