The friendly match between the Russian and Nigerian national teams, which will take place on June 6 at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, will begin with a minute of silence in memory of those killed in the bridge collapse in the Bryansk region.
The Ministry of Events and Marketing Communications RFU noted:
The Russian national team is our national team, and it cannot remain aloof from the tragedy. Before the whistle, the players and fans will commemorate those who died in the attack with a minute of silence, and at the end of the match, we will perform the closing number with the symbolic song “So You Want to Live” in the “Christmas” group. Recall that in early June in the Bryansk region, a road bridge collapsed, its fragments falling onto a passing train. As a result of the tragedy, seven people died and more than a hundred were injured.
