Spartak congratulated fans on the club’s 103rd anniversary. The “Red-White” slogan reads:
On April 18, 1922, Spartak’s predecessor, the ISS team, held its first football match. Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the history of red and white football, which we are proud of and which we continue!
Spartak remains the most successful club in the country: our collection of victories includes 22 league titles, 14 cups, and one Super Cup.
These 103 years have contained many golden pages. The legendary Golden Dubli in 1938, 1939, 1958, 1992, 1994, and 1998, when the team won both the league and the cup. 10 championship titles in Russia. The semifinals of three different European cups. As part of the national team, the red and white players won the first European Cup in 1960, won gold at the 1956 and 1988 Olympic Games, became European runners-up in 1964, 1972, and 1988, and won bronze medals at Euro 2008.
