Inter and its head coach Simone Indzagi have reached a preliminary agreement on a contract extension.
The new agreement includes a slight increase in the coach’s salary, which will allow him to maintain his position as the highest-paid specialist in Serie A.
Simone Indzagi’s current contract runs until the summer of 2026. Inter’s management is seeking to avoid a situation in which the team will start the new season with the coach’s contract expiring. Previously, Indzagi had repeatedly extended his contract for one year, but the new contract is expected to be for two years.
The 49-year-old coach’s salary will increase from €6.5 million per year to €7 million after signing a new contract.
