The disciplinary committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has dismissed Osasuna’s lawsuit against Barcelona.
The club claimed that a rule had been violated, according to which the Catalan club’s defender, Yinigo Martinez, was not eligible to participate in the match on March 27, as he was expelled from the Spanish national team due to injury. Osasuna referred to one of the articles of the International Football Federation (FIFA) regulations, which states that a player who has not joined his national team for medical reasons or who has left the squad will not be allowed to participate in matches for his club for five calendar days after the end of the international break.
