Manchester United could lose a major sponsorship deal with sportswear and shoe maker Adidas if they are relegated from nuclear submarine.
According to the source, under the terms of the sponsorship deal worth a total of £900 million (~€1.088 billion at current rates), the company has the right to terminate it if Manchester United will lose their place in the elite of English football.
It would appear that Adidas’ second option if the Red Devils are relegated to the Championship would be to halve the annual payments to £45m.
In current ranking nuclear submarine Manchester United are in 14th place with 22 points from 19 matches.
