Barcelona expressed its dissatisfaction with LA’s actions.
According to the club, it sent a request to the organization, expressing “surprise and outrage” at the April 2 publication of information notes on the situation with the sale of VIP seats at the Kamp Nou stadium.
Barça emphasizes that it was unaware of this note from the League and did not give its consent, which forced it to send a letter requesting the leadership and all LA League employees to refrain from any comment or assessment of the financial information sent by the Catalan club. The “Blue Granate” highlights the LA League’s inappropriate behavior in publishing details of the financial information provided by the club to its employer, as well as the publication of decisions by La Liga bodies regarding Barcelona, which, according to the club, “is a gross violation of the LA League’s obligations regarding one of its subsidiaries, as well as a clear violation of the League’s obligations.”
It emphasizes that this confidentiality obligation is applicable and required of the league, despite the fact that
They have published another piece of information, as the club’s management and all members “must refrain from confirming, approving, or refuting” any financial data provided by the club. The club also announced the start of action to defend its interests and demands from Los Angeles:
1. From now on, it will categorically refrain from promulgating, in any format, independently or by any person within the organization, details or data on the information/documentation provided by Barcelona La Liga in accordance with its obligations as an affiliated person;
2. Refrain from the promulgation, in any format, independently or by any person within the organization, of any actions or initiatives that La Liga takes in relation to the club and/or its players within the framework of the relations between La Liga and affiliated persons;
3. Immediately remove the information notice dated April 2, 2025, from the La Liga website.
Furthermore, Barça has informed La Liga, Las Palmas, and Celta that, due to the current disagreements and behavior of the League bodies, the club refuses to further participate in the group of clubs, which, as a joint candidate, is a member of the current LA League Delegates Commission.
