Porto is in negotiations with Cruz Azul coach Martin Anselmi. The Argentinian is ready to leave the Mexican club and lead the ‘dragons’. Porto agrees to pay compensation for the termination of Anselmi’s contract with Cruz Azul in the amount of 3 million euros, but the Mexicans demand 5 million euros.
The 39-year-old specialist has led the Mexico club since January 2024. His contract runs until June 2027. Under Anselmi’s leadership, Cruz Azul has played 50 matches (28 wins, 10 draws and 12 defeats). The team currently leads the Mexican championship.
Earlier it was reported that Porto decided to fire the head coach.
