Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi nominated for King of America 2024.
The prize is awarded by the Uruguayan newspaper El País to the best player of the year in the American leagues.
Besides Messi, four other footballers are in the running for the award in 2024. This Luis Enrique, Thiago Almada And Jefferson Savarino (all – “Botafogo”) and Leonard Fernandez (“Penarol”).
The name of the winner will be announced on December 31. The current winner is Herman Cano from Fluminense.
