PAOK Head Coach Razvan Lucescu disqualified for 4 months.
This decision was taken by the Disciplinary Commission of the Hellenic Football Federation.
This verdict concerns an incident that occurred after the match AEK – PAOK in the 1/4 final of the Greek Cup (1:0). A week after the match, a video from surveillance cameras appeared on the Internet: three fans of the home team approached the visiting bus and began to provoke the opponent’s representatives, showing the T-shirt of their team from six years ago. So AEK became national champion, ahead of PAOK by 6 points. The Thessaloniki club called the title “stolen”.
PAOK’s head coach and his staff got off the bus and tried to fight with the opposing fans. There was noise in the parking lot and the police intervened.
In addition to Lucescu, his assistants were also disqualified for 4 months Pantelis Konstantinidis, Georgios Tzanakis, Georgios Theodoridis And Athanasios Kapoulas. Each of them was fined 15 thousand euros, PAOK must pay 30,000 euros.
