Liverpool or Arsenal. Enzo Maresca has done a fantastic job for Chelsea this season. I didn’t know when the club decided not to keep Mauricio Pochettino last summer, but they appointed a manager with a certain profile and Maresca brought the team together. In saying that, I agree with him that Chelsea are not quite ready for the Championship. They need another goalkeeper and another central defender before they can go the distance.
Arsenal’s biggest problem at the moment is damage. They were able to avoid too much disruption over the past two years, but the situation is different today. Mikel Arteta will find the answers to ensure the team is stronger in the second half of the season and has gained valuable racing experience. If they are still close (to the title) by March, it will make them believe in themselves.
I speak from my head and my heart when I say Liverpool will lead the way. Arne Slott’s attacking options are the strongest in the Premier League. The only thing you can worry about for Liverpool is if their main players are injured. If they manage to avoid them, it won’t be easy to catch them.
Chelsea will finish third and despite their problems, I see Manchester City finishing fourth.
