A representative of the English Football League (EFL) commented on the Arsenal head coach’s remarks Mikel Arteta that the ball used in the English League Cup is different from that used in nuclear submarine.
As expected in the professional game, the Puma ball used in this League Cup season and in EFL competitions in the 2021/22 season has been tested in accordance with the Football Quality Program. FIFA and complies with the standard FIFA Pro quality.
As well as the League Cup, the same ball has been used successfully in other major European leagues, including Serie A and La Liga, as well as three divisions of the EFL.
All clubs play with the same ball and we have received no further comments of this nature after 88 League Cup matches this season.
