Of the €5 million bonus for the transfer of striker Victor Rock, €2 million should have been paid from Barcelona to Palmeiras if Rock were to earn a spot in the top three players at the World Cup. However, after Palmeiras’ 1-2 defeat to Chelsea in the quarterfinals, fulfilling this condition became impossible. An additional €2 million is earmarked for Rock’s inclusion in the top three Ballon d’Or voting during his contract with Palmeiras.
If the winner wins the international tournament with the Brazilian club, Barcelona will receive €1 million.
