Tottenham filed a lawsuit against Ineos Automotive, a subsidiary of Manchester United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, for the early termination of the sponsorship agreement. In 2022, even before Ineos’ arrival, a five-year, $5 million contract was signed, under which Ineos Grenadier became the “official supplier of all front-wheel-drive vehicles” for the London club. The sponsor’s advertising could be seen at Spur Stadium.In March, the Daily Mail reported that the partnership was expected to be completed ahead of schedule after “friendly negotiations” took place, following which INEOS would have to pay Spurs compensation, which was expected to be worth several million.
However, according to the latest reports, Tottenham filed a lawsuit against Tottenham on June 12. In its statement, Ineos Automotive noted that it had the right to terminate the contract, which it executed in December 2024.
