Midfielder Botafogo Luis Enrique will travel today to Doha (Qatar), where Zenit is carrying out pre-season training, to undergo a medical examination and sign a 5-year contract with the St. Petersburg club.
His sale for 35 million euros was the biggest in Botafogo’s history, as well as the biggest sale of a Brazilian player over the age of 21.
Additionally, Botafogo will retain 30% of the player’s economic rights.
Enrique has scored 12 goals and made 6 assists in 55 matches for the club.
