In Rome, Lazio fans staged a protest against the club’s president, Claudio Lotito. Around 8,000 people participated in the demonstration. One of the banners read: “Politics brought it here, politics should remove it.”Alessandro Onorato, the Italian capital’s councilor for sports, tourism, and public events, met with representatives of the Lazio fan movement. Orlov’s fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation at the Flamino Stadium. The arena is in a neglected state, and plans to modernize it and Lazio’s possible move to the Olympic Stadium have not been launched.
Lazio took the series and finished seventh, but did not qualify for the European Cup.
